Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
